Nalang Sewa Samaj is a non-profitable organization which is working hard to uplift the status of poor people in the remote village of Nalang, in the Dhading district of Nepal. We started our work with a scholarship program for children who came from a background of poverty. This program is now covering 20 students with a full scholarship, as well as giving the rest of the students in the school a free partial scholarship.
In addition to the scholarship program, NSS has offered free dental and health clinics for villagers and students. To the local school, our organization has distributed stationary, school supplies, books, sports items, computers, printers, uniforms and winter clothes.
After the devastating earthquake of 2015, NSS helped supply quake victims with much needed food, blankets, tents, tin roofing material and other necessary items to help them rebuild. Nalang Sewa Samaj was instrumental with the help of the friends and clients of Mountain World Treks to rebuild the local school and actually construct an additional classroom building.
